New Provocateur Standard Series from Shergold Guitars
Shergold Guitars are delighted to announce the launch of their Provocateur ‘Standard Series’ electric guitars.
Taking their place alongisde Shergold’s established and popular Provocateur 'Classic Series', the new ‘Standard Series’ Provocateur introduces a new set of unique characteristics and excellent specification for guitarists to discover at a lower price point.
Made with a solid poplar body paired with a Canadian maple neck and laurel fingerboard complete with unique lined fret markers, Provocateur Standard models feature a single cut design with a truly vintage scale length (625.5mm / 24.625”) for a guitar with a distinctive vintage voice and feel. Featuring a fixed bridge with string through body design, chrome hardware and locking machineheads, players can expect to find much of the exceptional specification on show throughout Shergold’s extensive guitar range in the new Provocateur Standard Series.
In line with all Shergold guitars, the Provocateur Standard Series is designed in the UK by British luthier Patrick James Eggle. Initial Provocateur Standard SP12 models feature a double humbucker pickup configuration and are available in two solid colours - Dirty Blonde and Mint Green.

Electronics come in the form of two Page Humbucker (Alnico V) pickups with a three-way selector. All pickups feature a push/pull coil split for a wide array of tonal options from powerful, full-fat humbucker voicings to brighter, single coil sounds.
Hot off the heels of Shergold’s recently launched ‘Telstar’ model which dropped in August 2023, the new Provocateur Standard Series is available to buy now from authorised Shergold Guitars dealers with a retail price of £409.00.
